Job Description •
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances • Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces • Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards • Prepare and cook Filipino cuisines or our specialized dishes such as Balbacua, Hinalang, Lechon etc • Plan menus, determine size of food portions and estimate food requirement for their realization • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment; Requisition food and kitchen supplies • Oversee or manage kitchen operations • Supervise, train kitchen staff and helpers • Clean kitchen and work areas • Inspect kitchens and food service areas • Organize buffets and banquets
Qualification Requirements • At least Secondary Education with culinary certificate or diploma or at least 1-2 years’ work experience required • Passion for the kitchen and for producing great products every day • Good oral communication. Must be able to speak and understand English. Ability to speak and understand Tagalog language is an asset • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure • Must work well within a restaurant team culture • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong initiative • A positive and team-oriented attitude • Must be able to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods • Must be able to speak and understand English. Job Type: Full-Time, 35-40 hours/week
Salary: $34.70/hour
